What you need to run a visit
The browsers, devices and connection that work, for you and for your clients.
- Who can use it
- All staff
A computer or a phone with a camera and a microphone, a current browser, and an internet connection. Nothing to buy and nothing to install.
Browsers
| Browser | Version |
|---|---|
| Chrome | 120 or newer |
| Firefox | 120 or newer |
| Edge | 120 or newer |
| Safari | 16 or newer |
Devices
| System | Version |
|---|---|
| Windows | 10 or newer |
| macOS | 12 or newer |
| iPhone and iPad | iOS 15 or newer |
| Android | 10 or newer |
Older versions often still work. HIPAA LINK warns you when a client is on one, so you find out before the call rather than during it. See Check a client’s status before you call.
Your connection
Anything that handles ordinary video calling is enough. Wired or wifi is steadier than mobile data, and being near the router helps more than any setting.
Run Test Your Connection on your own waiting room page before your first visit, on the machine and network you will actually use.
For your clients
They need the same things, and nothing else. Send them What you need to join if they ask.
