Set up your waiting room
Your photo, your name, and the two messages a client reads while they wait for you.

- Edit Waiting Room
Everything a client sees before you start the call is on one screen. Open Edit Waiting Room on your dashboard, beside My Room.
You can also reach it from Account Settings › My Profile › Room Settings, by selecting Edit waiting room.
Fill it in
- Add a Profile Picture. A face does more than anything else here to settle a client who has not met you.
- Set Preferred Display Name, which is how your name appears at check-in and in the waiting room.
- Write your Welcome Message and Unavailable Message.
- Select Save.
The two messages
The Welcome Message shows while you are signed in. Use it to say what to expect: that you will be with them shortly, or what to do if the call drops.
The Unavailable Message shows when you are not. Use it to say when you will be back and how to reach the practice meanwhile.
Both boxes look filled in and are not. The grey text is an example, not your message. Leave a box empty and clients see our default wording; type in it and they see yours.
The other settings on this screen
- Display email in waiting room shows your email address to anyone waiting. Off unless you want clients emailing you directly.
- Personal Biography is a short description of you, shown under your name. Optional, and blank is fine.
- Require phone number during check-in adds a phone number box to check-in and makes it mandatory. Off by default, so clients give a name only.
- Room Name URL is the same link setting as in Room Settings. Changing it here changes it everywhere.
